For language learners
Notes from every language lesson, written for you

What you get after each lesson
- What you covered, written up.
- Every word that came up, with its reading, its meaning and flashcards built from it.
- Your mistakes in your own words, with the correction beside them.
- How much of the hour you spoke, how fast, and how long before you answered.
- Where you are heading: the mistakes that keep coming back, and what to bring to your next class.
Stay in the conversation
Taking notes during a lesson means half-listening. Record it instead, and keep every word without writing any of them down.
Private by design
Lesson Journal is a separate account on a separate database from the teacher product. Nobody can be given access, because there are no teacher accounts in it at all.

Does your teacher already use Lesson Studio?
Then you don't need this. Your teacher's plan covers your portal, and your recaps already arrive there.
Questions
Does it work for group lessons?
No. Lesson Journal is built for one-to-one lessons: you and one teacher. It records your microphone and the call as two tracks, so in a group class the other students share your teacher's track and the write-up cannot tell them apart.
Which lessons can I record?
Any lesson that happens in a Chrome tab: Zoom in the browser, Google Meet, Preply, italki. Nothing joins the call and nothing shows on your teacher's screen.
Do I need a computer?
To record, yes: Google Chrome on a Mac, Windows or Linux computer. Your write-ups, vocabulary and flashcards open on any phone.
Does my teacher need to do anything?
No, there is nothing for them to install or set up. Do tell them you are recording, and ask first.
My teacher already uses Lesson Studio. Do I need this?
No. Their plan covers your portal, and your recaps already arrive there.
