KOKU lleva mis clases a otro nivel. A todos mis estudiantes les encanta la plataforma. Esperan sus resúmenes con ganas y pueden ver su progreso en inglés conmigo. Si todavía no has probado KOKU, no sabes cuánto tiempo podrías estar ahorrando.

Where Lucas is heading
From 4 lessons · updates after each lesson
B1, moving toward B2
Lucas is progressing toward confidently handling job interviews and workplace conversations, especially around experience and achievements. He is consolidating core grammar for talking about work and practicing interview-specific structures, with growing fluency and some lingering grammar pitfalls.
Keeps coming up

I am working in this company since 2019.→I have been working in this company since 2019. - Word choice● still therein 2 of 4 lessons
I make a meeting with my team.→I have a meeting with my team. - Verb form✦ newin 2 of 4 lessons
If I would have more time, I would check everything two times.→If I had more time, I would check everything twice.
Working on now
- 1Job interview skills and STAR method answers
- 2Expressing work experience using present perfect (continuous) and past simple
- 3Complex sentence structures conditionals, polite questions
- 4Role-specific vocabulary and collocations (campaign, responsible for, increase by)
Getting better
- Lucas now uses present perfect continuous ('I have been working') and 'since/for' more naturally (Lesson 4, unprompted).
- His comparative and quantifier usage (e.g. 'increased by', 'twice') has become more accurate and varied.
- He is structuring STAR interview answers more fluently, with clearer narrative flow and better linking.
Suggested next
- Conduct a full mock interview focus on flow and self-correction for verb tense and word choice in spontaneous speech.
- Drill correct second conditional forms orally, contrasting them with common errors ('If I had' vs. 'If I would have').
- Reinforce high-frequency interview collocations (have a meeting, responsible for, increase by) with context-based practice.

We spent the hour on contrast — although, even though, though — and then took it into the restaurant scene you asked for. You reached for although three times unprompted, and put it in the right half of the sentence twice.
The corrections below are nearly all about where the clause sits: although opens one of the two halves, it never stands between them the way but does. Worth a slow read before the homework.
Main corrections
The food was expensive, although. Although the food was expensive, we stayed.
although joins two halves — only though can be left at the end of a sentence
I am agree with you. I agree with you.
agree is a verb on its own in English, so it takes no am
We are living here since 2019. We have been living here since 2019.
since + a starting point takes the present perfect, not the present
Can you explain me the bill? Could you explain the bill to me?
explain never takes the person straight after it — the thing first, then to me
1. Although: two ideas, one sentence
We started from the sentences you wrote last week and joined them up, one pair at a time.
- although — in spite of the fact that
- even though — a stronger although — when the contrast is a surprise
- though — the same, and the only one that can sit at the end
Although the restaurant was full, they found us a table.
Contrast first, result second — the order that sounds most natural.
Pattern: Although + [clause], [clause].
Note: although and but do the same job, so one sentence never needs both.

Homework
- Write five sentences about your week using although, and one with even though.
- Record a voice memo ordering a meal for two — include one question about the bill.
- Read the six words out loud twice. The stress on although lands on the second half: al-THOUGH.
Teacher’s note
You caught two of your own mistakes today before I said anything — that is new. Next lesson we take the same contrast into writing: a short review of somewhere you liked but would not go back to.

Preguntas
